We know that no two families’ circumstances are the same, and Susan really took the time to find out what was important to us in our family situation. In between our meetings while creating a trust, we would start to get overwhelmed trying to think of all the details. Sudden hospitalization and death are subjects that frequently make most people very uncomfortable. We don’t like to think about it, but these are things that happen all to often…and we have no control of the situation.



Have you ever seen what can happen to adult children when their parents die without a will or the proper documents in place? I have, first hand, and it is not something I would want anybody to have to experience. When our father was hospitalized for the last time, one of my siblings stepped in. She went to their house and started taking loads of “mom and dad’s stuff” out, claiming that her children had a right to inherit from their grandparents. She showed no regard for our parents or the rest of her siblings.



This is not a situation my husband and I want for our children should something happen to us.



My husband, John, and I attended a retirement and estate planning seminar where Susan Muscari gave a talk about the value of wills, powers of attorney, Advanced Directives and so on.



We were very impressed with Susan’s talk and made an appointment to meet with her to discuss our situation.


Susan is very personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. She also displays patience and sensitivity to her client’s needs. Our meeting with Susan was very informative. She explained our options, including what action the state would take should we become incapacitated or die without these documents in place. She took the time to make sure we understood each document, as well as its purpose and value. She took the time to explain everything in terms that we could understand and ensured she had all of the information necessary for the completion of our documents while we were talking. She also explained that should we want or need to make changes, it is an easy process and can be done at any time.

Susan is a caring and helpful attorney who regards her clients as friends and treats them as she would a member of her family.
